Oh geeze...
No particular stories of anything but it makes me sick thinking of everything I handled and their prices and then put back.
Saiga rifles in 223, 7.62x39 and 308 when they were cheap. I saw deals on them for $219. Should have bought every one.
M1 Carbines everywhere. Under $300...
In the hands of LE agencies it may fit but the word firearm would have been a far better label in the 1st quote and still conveyed the importance of the sentence behind it.
Author needs to get his crap together...
"Now, the hype around the AR-15 is ridiculous, to be sure, but they’re still weapons."
And this gem...
"But hey, we can trust the police with AR-15s, even if we’re supposedly untrustworthy with such weapons"
They are firearms - not weapons. Stop...
24 2.75 inch shells without a reload would be almost perfect IMO.
IIRC, almost 80% of home invasions these days involve 2 or more BG's.
If standard capacity 30 rounders for 5.56 and 7.62x39 aren't ideal, it's news to me.
Ideally, we should stay out of it. It's a mess and no place to stick our nose.
And IMO, the only we could get involved is if the rest of the planet tells China to piss off and they all put equal skin in the game.
And that will never happen.
It has never been ruled by the PRC. The last time it was governed by China was during the imperial era. And that's questioned as well.
And your missing one of Taiwan's highest priorities. It's not that they no longer wish to be part of China but to maintain and choose their government as they've...
Uhh no, they don't own it. China claims all sorts of shit because that's their mo.
And your large city in the US analogy has absolutely nothing to do with it.
This is the federal government forcing 40 something states to subsidize the pooch screwing, socialist utopia, rampant corruption and criminal level fiscal mismanagement of the remaining states.
Nobody in North Dakota or Iowa voted for CA's and NY's government but those poor bastards certainly...

Since anything he picks now will require him to pay quite a bit extra per shot, I'd stick to whatever the budget allows for ample trigger time.
I have been holding off on any new rifles in any caliber I don't already own. I'm not paying a ridiculous premium for ammo that I don't...
Maybe it'll be them and maybe it won't but someone of their ilk will absolutely find a way to squeeze whatever we have squirreled away for our winter years.
What's this registration bit about?
FOR PURPOSES OF THIS SUBDIVISION, "AUTHORIZED WEAPON" SHALL MEAN A WEAPON REGISTERED IN ACCORDANCE
WITH SUBDIVISION SIXTEEN-A OF SECTION 400.00 OF THIS CHAPTER.
I'm leaning towards 6.5 Grendel - not sure why but just because. I'd really like one in 7.62x39 but I really want it to have the ability to use cheap AR mags but AFAIK that one uses Mini 30 mags which are typically not as cheap or as available.
You should be able to install the spring yourself depending on the model.
And it's just a little additional peace of mind to worry less about slam fire especially if you have an unmaintained model.
In no way should you pass on giving it a good shake without the spring as @Vapor mentioned. The...
