My understanding is that the railroad folks aren't asking for a raise but asking for better scheduling. At least my (admittedly limited) understanding of this issue many railroaders are on call 24/7 for weeks on end and they want the companies to hire more staff to not have that happen. I don't...
We had a conversation about it at work today. It's not my department but we get water treatment chemicals predominantly sent by rail. If the rail strike happens some really big manure could potentially hit the proverbially fan. Other water treatment utilities could face the same issue.
I believe they wrote down the lot number when I bought ammo recently. What that accomplishes I really don't know. Not like they can really track that.
Probably also put down that I bought two boxes of super deadly hollow point ammunition. Look out! This guy's got a whole 50 rounds of cop killer...
I agree in the end this is fairly meaningless just like all the anti-SAFE Act resolutions back in 2012-2013. If you have a pistol permit and are carrying in one of the "sensitive" locations the cops are definitely going to arrest you (at least the State Police are and I bet many of the local PDs...
How much you want to bet more than two boxes of ammo will be "flagged" if they get their way?
Also reminds me of the video of the guy who got visited by the ATF because he bought multiple guns and they suspected him of straw purchasing.
I did it out of curiosity more than anything. They also said they couldn't sell any semi auto long guns as the state hasn't figured out the permit system for them yet.
Stopped by the FFL today and picked up a couple boxes of 9mm hollowpoints. They took down my pertinent information (name, address, occupation, etc.) before I could proceed with the transaction.
Markets should've tank because one person makes a speech. Just goes to show how volatile our current economic situation is.
If you have some spare cash stock up on the triple B's: Beans, Band-Aids, and Bullets.
Asking what my favorite 9mm is is kind of like asking which one my favorite child is (I don't have kids but you can imagine).
It probably changes but right now I'd say my Beretta 92FS.
Eh, maybe. I'd say the most American headline would be something along the lines of "Robber steals gun, gets shot by victim double-wielding second and third backup gun."
I don't know why but I keep thinking that I need a lever action in my stable (everything I have is either semi-auto, bolt, or pump action). Was reading an article about the new Ruger made Marlins and I started getting all tingly inside thinking about them. The Henrys are cool too.
Cool. I'm going to be near there tomorrow. Guess I should pack the kevlar.
And Monti-ghetto is a shit hole. Has been for a while and has only gotten worse in recent years. There's a shooting there at least 2-3x a month. Investigations are usually "ongoing."
Damn. That photo the grate with the needles at the bottom. Maybe I'm just naive but that looks like a shit ton of used needles.
How the fuck can these assholes even afford heroin if they have no money?
When you have to navigate around human feces and used needles to get to a store that continually gets robbed because prosecutors refuse to prosecute anything under a certain amount (I believe in San Francisco it's $5,000) an you blame them for closing stores?
Haven't picked up a new gun in a couple of years now so I felt it was time to add a new one to the stable. I like the concealability of my Sig P356 but for more comfortable shooting I'd like one with a larger grip. Today I picked up its big brother, the P365XL with Romeo Zero.
Whatever happened to SCOPE? I mean I'm still on their email list and enjoy the commentary they send out (mostly on national politics now) but are they doing anything substantive for NY these days?
After watching this video I have to reevaluate my entire stance on the Second Amendment, self-defense, and US History. I'm even questioning my sexuality and gender identity.
VP Harris calls for 'assault weapons ban' on guns 'intentionally designed to kill' people
So we should also ban bows and arrows too. And knives.
And cars that are intentionally made to drive.
And food that is intentionally grown/raised to eat.
I think Dementia Joe just raised a few IQ points...
