I am considering a new rifle as I currently own a custom made 10/22 only. I am looking at these due to price points...I know that accuracy is from the shooter (I'm a former Marine Corps Marksmanship Instructor). I am more interested in how smooth the bolt action is etc... I dont hunt, however...

Does anyone know if this is a legal pistol in NY? It is normally sold with 12rd mag and has threaded barrel. If purchased (somehow) with a 10round, would that work? Could an FFL remove the 12s and give me 10s? Thanks all!
