Not sure I believe these applications were lost, but in any case, decent lawyers and good backing from deep pockets might shake things up for NYS. At least it could get the attention of SCOTUS on the dubious practices of our fine state with regard to 2A.
I am cautiously optimistic about our ability to recover all those braces that were lost in rough seas!
