NYPD licensing is getting slower and slower

Received my renewed premise permit in the mail yesterday, unfortunately there was no purchase authorization with it and the new card didn't have my new purchase added to it. No update on CCW status either.

NYPD licensing is getting slower and slower

Well on 3/20 they finally approved my premise permit renewal, only took them three months. I have yet to receive the new permit in the mail, and I'm hoping they will send me my purchase authorization at the same time. Due to their delays, my next purchase (every 90 days) was pushed back over 90...

Thank you, they are but modest upgrades. I saw someone who got a hornady bullet feeder to work with the Lee Loadmaster.

Upgrades for the Lee Load Master Progressive press

Finished up my upgrades a few moments ago. Got the 9V battery box. Did a quick solder job, sleeving and heat shrink on the wires. Drilled a hole in the middle of the five turret tool head and mounted the endoscope there. I hooked it up to a Fire HD 8 tablet using a shelf mount. All in all...

Upgrades for the Lee Load Master Progressive press

I continued doing little mods to my Lee Load Master. I saw someone who did this already but I forget who and where (possibly on YouTube). I had some LEDs laying around so I figured, why the hell not? I drilled a hole into the underside of the shell plate holder and put the LED in there. I...

    Rossi or Ruger-Marlins

I own a pre Ruger Era Marlin which shoots great and works fine that I purchased about 10 years ago (maybe longer). A buddy of mine recently purchased a Ruger Era 1894 Marlin, put less than 200 rounds through it and several screws walked themselves out while shooting it. I've been in the market...

Almost ready to go with my shotshell reloading

Thanks for the tip, I do not know the BRN of the lead, I purchased it from Etsy. I posted my reloads on Shotgun World and received some pretty critical feedback, mainly that my roll crimps are not sufficient enough. With having the do a crimp on the empty hull and using the trimmer to cut the...

NYPD licensing is getting slower and slower

Almost a month since I purchased my Glock 21 Gen4 and still haven't been able to pick it up because they haven't mailed me my new permit and pink PA form. Premise permit still hasn't been renewed. I uploaded my renewal packet on 1/2. CCW permit still hasn't been assigned an investigator.

    What's your EDC handgun?

I've used both the M18 with the Wilson grip and the VP9, the P320 does print more but that's because I have a light and Romeo 1 Pro on it when I CCW in PA, VA, WV, TN, and NC. I'll probably stick with the VP9. I was also thinking the Archon but it's been difficult to find an IWB for it.

    What's your EDC handgun?

Same here, and as a lefty shooter the ambidextrous controls are nice. My main reasoning for a wheel gun for back up is well, I feel wheel guns are the most reliable and what's not better than reliable for a backup? Also in 9mm so I can share ammo between both if needed.

    What's your EDC handgun?

It's what I'd choose over what I have. Many of my Glocks are heavily modified which makes me not want to use them for carry. Simply for legality. The 1911 is just too heavy to IWB, but I do have a shoulder holster for it. I frequently carry that in PA. Archon Type B Canik SFX Rival Glock 19...

    What's your EDC handgun?

Once I get my NYC CCW and I have to select two guns to have on my permit it will be either the P320 with Wilson Combat grip/MK18 slide or HK VP9 hip/6-7 o'clock and Ruger LCR 9mm for ankle holster. I'm leaning more toward my VP9 for my primary over the P320. Any opinions?
