The silencer bill as written, was a policy change........not allowed in a budget reconciliation bill

Last Friday, the bill was changed to as tax change.,,,,delete the $200 TTAX on SBR's Silencers, and was legal......in a budget bill.

No parliamentarian ever wrote a rule or law.

Never should have been a thing ever. Some good and some bad in the bill. I’m sure some of it’s over exaggerated on the bad on one side and the same for the good on the other side.
All I know is it adds too much to our debt and with Medicaid and food stamps getting cut that could be problematic. I don’t think people realize how any rural poor republicans are on the dole for these two items. I guess time will tell how the public reacts to it.

Those of you throwing your support behind the "Big Beautiful Bill" need to really consider it in its entirety. Does it have some good things? Sure. But it's also expected to add trillions to the national debt. While I wouldn't consider myself a deficit hawk, that is an awful lot of money that is going to do nothing but raise inflation and make things cost more. Our GDP is essentially paying the interest on our debt now and this is only going to make it work.

Socialism is great until you run out of other people's money. I believe we are rapidly approaching that period now.

That is what the GAO said but they said the same thing Trump’s first term. They always say the economy will grow at 1.something instead of what it actually does so their estimate on the impact to the debt is often wrong.

Passing it was the lesser of the evils. Trump also didn't campaign on balancing the budget. This fortifies everything he campaigned on. It's funny how many people have been flat out wrong about everything Trump has done such as tariff's, Iran, NATO, etc. only to eat crow over time.
