The only actual federal charge for an unregistered NFA item is "tax evasion", since the entire thing is based on the power to tax.
What happens when the first guy charged with an unregistered something claims he can't be charged for not paying a $0 tax ?
$0 is a huge difference from even $0.01.
What *will* get us is that lots of states have laws that require the NFA items to be registered.
But, I expect federal charges for unregistered SBS, SBR, and suppressors to be non-existent now.

NFA was upheld in a 1937 challenge as Constitutional solely because it was a tax and therefore not a 2A issue...the door is now open to eliminate it, as it is no longer a tax issue either. NSSF has already filed suit to get the job finished.

If the TAX was removed from any of the NFA items, GOA will go after them under infringement of our rights. When y`all was paying TAXES on it, it was legal for them to steal TAXES from you, now they can`t TAX you, they will now lose the many lawsuits that are coming. Now, IF only, the SCOTUS gets off their collective lazy asses and takes these 2A (NFA, AWB, MAG) cases. Who knows, maybe this was one of the big ones they are waiting for. Anyway, this is all just based on my own opinion, which don`t mean shit, but just listening to the smarter lawyers on the cases, this is likely the path we`re going. Yep, as they keep saying, "just a little longer folks, we`ll win". They better hurry the phuck up, some of us are pretty fuking old here!
