I know NY issues permits to out of states residents who own a business in NY.
I figure their is no time like the present.
I live maybe 2 miles from the border of Orange County, and was hoping...
I powdercoat for 2 reasons, 1st the powdercoated bullets dont lead the barrel, At least i've got none. The other reason is i do 2 different loads (same caliber, same brass, same bullet) that i DO NOT want to go into the wrong guns, so my hot load is Red and my 'cowboy' load is blue
you dont need to spend more than a couple bucks. Its VERY easy, Get a #5 white recycling container, like that of cool-whip or sour cream (cool-whip would be nicer to work with) Buy some plastic Airsoft pellets, Black or white both work. I've heard black work better, but i use white.
Then...
Oh, By the way, Once you'r finished being hazed in (your falt for joining and asking a legality question within your first 2 posts) you'll find this a great place with great info.
Hey Samps. I'm glad you're enjoying your new toy. Like it's sort of been stated, Yes if the magazine is pinned you should be good to go with the other features. Your dealer did not lie to you.
I saw a video of a locked magazine AR being shot at Davis, I have a question, When did they...
This is a good way to get kids on their side of the argument. Let them leave school. That's going to put a certain mindset in the youth. They get out of school to protest the 2nd.
It depends on how you look at the law. I'd say it's legal in nys if you go by the various laws and regulations in nys. If you look at the letter of the law it is legal. It would not need to go on a pistol permit according to the definition of pistol and in nys penal code. It doesn't actually...
well That was kind of the point of this gun, (Not to be as specific as NY, because franklin armory doesnt give a **** about NY.) But they purposely built it not to meet the definitions of rifle or shot gun (or pistol) so that it would not meet those definitions and not fall under the NFA...
not if you look at the NY penal Code Article 265 section 3:
Firearm" means (a) any pistol or revolver; or (b) a shotgun having
one or more barrels less than eighteen inches in length; or (c) a rifle
having one or more barrels less than sixteen inches in length; or (d)
any weapon...
Nys penal code article 265, 11:
"Rifle" means a weapon designed or redesigned, made or remade, and
intended to be fired from the shoulder and designed or redesigned and
made or remade to use the energy of the explosive in a fixed metallic
cartridge to fire only a single...
Are you asking me Because it is so hard to find the ATF definition of the mentioned above? I dont really want to waste my time doing so, you need to cross reference write a bit to name all of them, and im not willing to do that even knowing you think you 'made your point' (whats the...
yeah, you are very right, But that doesnt mean when they sell the barrels i wont finish a receiver and slap on of these 4 moa (8moa) barrels ontop!
It's an easy battle to win, The problem is you;ve gotta go to court... But the right lawyer would probably do it No problem. Also... I dont...
Guys.... you are all missing the point....
This thing is not a Rifle, Not a Pistol, And Not a Shotgun, If you were to buy THIS or buy the barrel and build one from an 80%, You could legally put together a Not So Friendly But Still NY Legal Not Rifle, with All the Evil features you want...
If im correct the ATF recently (i think in December) changed the ruling on being able to shoulder a pistol. I dont remember exactly what the new ruling is, but it can be googled fairly easily. IF im correct, this thing is just a pistol....
If I'm Not Mistaken The UnSafe Act was passed 4 years ago today, it has been a complete joke, It's only made owning certain rifles harder, but not impossible, Its turned countless individuals into criminals by its existence, Some dont even know they are criminals. Parts of it, like the ammo...
I've got one... carried it in a pack once... I thibk it may be the only rifle I have that I've never shot....
Perhaps I'm waiting for the right helicopter
Take this info at your own risk, i will not be held liable.
DPMS is a little wierd when it comes to their 7.62/308 'chamberings' With them from what i understand the 308 chambers are milled to tighter tolerances than the 7.62x51, cut a little shorter/tighter, DPMS says their 7.62x51...
Gottcha. Doing some research, if found people like it because it burns faster than varget, so you can push the bullet a little faster in the shorter barrel. But Varget is less temperature sensitive. I May load some with both, but if they seem to be similar at all in resultsi will stick...
Thanks
As far as my reloading procedure, When i reload i keep track of every single thing i do, And do everything exactly the same, I keep other distractions out the way and am way to anal about checking an rechecking my measurements, seating depths, etc. it probably started because when i...
Im aware of some of what you already said, but the fact its being said is great, that way when someone out there in internet land looks to do something similar, info is there for them to read.
My Shooting Partner has a chrono and i can use it at any time, so no worries there. Once i get...

I do plan on going with Modern Bullets, A-max and the ELD's from hornady
The speed at Muzzle is the first thing im going to try and get down, After i get my test rounds made up i will be shooting over a chrono to figure out the MV which will go...
Scopes have a certain amount of adjustment, Lets pretend its 60 moa, from center, you;ve got about 30 moa up and down, If your shooting at extreme ranges you may need to adjust your scope more than that 30 moa allowed by the scope, so you put it on a riser that will make up for 20 moa...
i havent picked a scope yet. i will be purchasing one of them in the near future. The rifle ill be using like i said, i didnt think i'd actually have the chance to shoot 1k, so the glass on it really isnt up to the task. I've been looking into a few optics, and have looked at the leupold. I...
Thanks, The hornady 168gr ELD match bullets really peaked my interest, but there doesnt seem to be much info out there about them.
I have heard all kinds of mixed reviews about using the 155s and even the 168s. at that range. it cant hurt to load up some of each i guess. I do wanna...
Well, The local store, which normally doesnt carry many reloading components had 2 boxes of lapua brass in stock for 64.99 which is ten bucks cheaper than midways sale price... and they also had some 4064 in stock... so i think i may go make a few test rounds with varget and with the 4064...
I built a stupid 'tacticool' mossburg 500 with all the tacticool features i could get, The rason... so i didnt care about it. my buddy wanted to try some interesting rounds and none of us had a shotgun we were willing to shoot dumb stuff through. (not too stupid, still safe) so i purchased the...

I wouldn't consider this a 'presidential debate' nothing about it seems very presidential, a pompous self absorbed dufus and a pompous self absourbed dufus....
The Crap act deffinitly put a hault on my buying of ammo online, But maybe thats a good thing... i seem to have more money lying around now.... But yeah, i get a lot of mine shipped to a ups store box in jersey/buy it in person/buy it out of state....

when i was younger i played paintball for about 13 years, i used to rustoleum a lot of my guns, and trust me those things took a beating, a MAJOR beating compared to any of our firearms. That paint did a pretty respectable job holding up, The grips would tend to wear, but it always...
welcome over here. I keep checking to see the activity on the old site... waiting for it to die off... just not a huge fan of anti's or anti-sympathizers owning it
