It's a religion and you are a non-believer. You must be converted or else.
That is why those who leave the cult are treated the worst of all. Then you are an apostate and you must be crushed at all cost as you reflect a threat to the cult.
McLaughlin would be a good rep. Rensealear county executive.
I no longer to get to vote on it as I am now a PA resident. (Did so to vote in the crutial presidental and senate elections.)
I've been fortunate enough that I've never had to sell a gun. I have bought some from older friends who had decided they were too old to shoot them). I bought my first over/under (Browning Citori) this way.
In some ways it is a good thing for them - even though they realized they were too...
Not trying to rub salt in the wounds here, but this shit is why I moved (still have to sell my place here in NY). Loved my house here, the outdoors around me, and even tolerated/liked the weather. But enough is enough.
NY will lose out on over 100K in taxes from me over the next N years, from...
Interesting- I never got said book of rules (in PA).
While doing some research a while back, I stumbled on this video which I found amusing when (towards the end) the news crew was suprised about how many had their LCF (License to Carry Firearm). Also not suprising in the video was the...
Nice.
I picked one up from RangeUSA when they had the $399 minus 10% off handguns deal.
Any gotcha's/issues doing the RMR mount of the Holoson? Did you need an adapter for the Holoson 207?
I might wander in to Range USA ($399) to take a look at one on Monday. Free state of PA so no muss, no fuss.
gun.deals shows these being sold for as low as $350, but then I would have to deal with shipping cost and FFL transfer fee drama.
Just released, Ruger RXM 9MM - collaboration with Magpul. A new Glock 19 Gen 3 clone:
This popped up in a Range USA email I just got - $399.99 Comes "optics ready" w 2/15+1 (or 2 10+1 for places like New Yorkastan) :
https://rangeusa.com/product/ruger-rxm-15-gray
OK, circling back (ha ha) to the can discussion.
Any suggestions - want it to handle 5.56 (at least) so I was thinking .30 cal?
Any thought on Silencer Central's Banish 30? Banish 30
They are doing a BOGO (sort of) and will also throw in a .22 for "free": BANISH 22K-V2 (Would cost $206 for...
Something like this? https://www.bearcreekarsenal.com/300-blackout-7-5-ss-hb-barrel-1-8-twist-pistol-7-handguard-sc-nrail-upper.html
To make sure I understand this correctly, I would need the tax stamp if I attach it to the rifle.... But do I need to have the stamp if it is just sitting in a...
Also late to this party. I have a NY state compliant Ruger PCC. I will be moving it to PA so I might be interested in a barrel swap (NY compliant for threaded), assuming there isn't a lot of wear on it. (Mine is barely used.)
I live upstate near Albany so perhaps we could do the exchange in...
Bought a Ruger MPR (just arrived at the store). I'm back in NY attending to a few things, but heading back to PA fairly soon. Also bought a bunch of 9MM just to have more. Trying to decide on optic to put on the MPR.
The post today about the body armor case in NY got me thinking - I don't have any and was foolish not to buy it before the NY ban. I did a bit of searching here but could use some recomendations on things to look at.
Is ceramic Level IV the way to go?
Things are progressing.
Monday - drive from NY
Tuesday - got my PA license
Wednesday - bought a handgun (just because I wanted to do one before having any sort of "permit" to see how the process would go.) Unlike NY, where most mega stores (thinking about you Dicks) have to have a manager...
OK, a correction to what I posted above.
I now have a PA license in hand, not a temporary and no need to wait for it to be mailed to me.
It seems that a temporary is given if a real ID license is desired, at least in some of the processing centers. Since I have a passport, I opted for the non...
This is one reason I am doing this soon. I have other reasons to delay a bit (e.g. to the end of the year), but going for it now because of the election. and my desire to get new things that require a PA license. (I can get ammo there w/o a PA license and can get magazines shipped to the PA...
I don't believe this is true. My kid made the journey (moved) before me and had a temporary good for 14 days and got the regular one in the mail. From the PA site:
A slight wrinkle on this (for me) is that I was once a resident of PA (born there, got my initial drivers license there long...
Unfortunately (or fortunately as I was in NY state), my "AR" is an Ares Scar. (I do like it.). So, I would be looking to add, not modify.
Thanks for the info regarding speedy. What is sas? Won't I be getting a temporary and the real one mailed to me? I'm guessing I won't be able to do a...
Have "quite a bit", but will be doing some buying anyway. Edit: Ironically I will likely be buying shotgun loads as I'm getting a little low and too busy (or is that lazy) to reload at the moment.
So, my move to PA is coming along. I've got a place there, have some utilities w/associated utility bills there, mail received there, a credit card address changed over to the new address. I'm keeping my place here for a bit before putting it on the market.
To celebrate having a shipping...
Last I remember reading, there was no clause in the 2nd where it states "unless STUPID, in which case this doesn't apply".
This is one of the reasons I'm leaving this fking state - so many here think they are smart because they know the intimate details of the guns laws, and he haw when...
Latency is a serious issue whenever distance is large. Until we have "warp drive" or worm holes for transporting signals (radio waves), we are bound by the fundamental that in the best case (no propagation delays, perfect atmospheric conditions), we are limited by the speed of light. That...
I thought I had posted this here but can't find it so here goes.
I make semi-frequent trips to Vermont for skiing from the Albany area. Any recommendations on local stores with competitive ammo prices?
I also make a couple-time-a-year trips through PA to SW PA. Same question, what places...
I am sorry for what you are going through. But I will tell you I will never buy another round of ammo in NYS and very unlikely to ever buy another rifle or shotgun here either.
So given that I make occasional road trips to SW PA and live fairly close to Vermont, what physical stores would be suggested to do a decent sized occasional purchase? One of the things I liked about Target was their sometimes good prices on cases.
I don't have a lot of faith that Zeldin will be able to roll back the crazy sh*t already passed and am planning on leaving this disaster of a state.
Having said that, I would walk over hot coals in bare feet to vote for him. To think that it doesn't matter, or he isn't pro-gun enough is...
I'm at the point where I don't care, I am tired of the excuses. The criteria should be simple - no felony or serious violence conviction = shall issue. The process rules should be known up front and transparent in terms of the decision factors.
If there are problems with youth records not...
Did you read the case?
In approximately 2018, Alan Taveras applied for a license to possess a rifle
or shotgun for self-protection at his residence in the Bronx, New York. Licensing
officers within the New York City Police Department denied Taveras’s
application, citing his August 2011 arrest...
There are three ways a case can make it to the supreme court:
1. (The usual say) - a case from a lower federal (inferior) court is appealed. That is, decided in a district court, appealed to the appellete court, and appealed to Scotus via writ of centori (latin for "to be more fully informed")...
Off topic: So, I haven't bought any new guns in a couple/few years. My last purchase was a Ruger Carbine (takedown 9MM).
What would be good to get before the law kicks in?
