I welcome all advice and opinions. Thank you. That’s a nice looking CZ. It doesn’t have an ambi safety though. I’m a lefty.

    1911 question

I shot in my first match this past weekend. I shot a USPSA Action Pistol match in the Production class. Used my M&P 2.0. Had a lot of fun and I’m definitely hooked. So with that I want my decision to be a practical one. I really want a 1911. I like the look and feel of it in my hand. I was...

    1911 question

Dare I say it... I’m leaning towards the 9mm. My 2 Smith’s are 9mm. I really like the 2.0. It fits my hand nicely. The ammo is cheaper and I always have some on hand. Lol.

    1911 question

I like the Kimber's a lot. But I'm only going on looks. Haven't fired one yet. Thinking of going to Gun For Hire so I can rent a couple 1911's there and try them out. They rent the Kimber.

    1911 question

A 3" barrel was never a thought to me. 5" all the way. LOL Life is WAY too busy for me!! My son plays travel hockey and my daughter is on a travel baton twirling team. I do't get any me time. But that's ok, my family comes first.

    1911 question

    1. Most friends have told me that I HAVE to get a .45 if I plan on getting a 1911. I was actually thinking of getting it in 9mm actually. I'm very confused about this. I don't want to regret whatever decision I make on this. 2. I was leaning towards the 9mm for the exact same reason. Plus the...

    1911 question

I’m definitely getting a 5 inch barrel. Which one are you referring to with a 3” barrel? The Kimber pictured?

    1911 question

I like the looks of the Kimber. Never fired one though. That’s a very reasonably priced gun!!! I was leaning towards the Sprinfield because I hear it’s more competition ready out of the box. Haven’t shot any matches yet, but hope to in the near future.

    1911 question

Yeah I don’t know how many more would be in my future. I definitely want a 5 inch barrel. Most friends that I’ve asked suggest a .45 as well. Those Dan Wesson’s look real nice too!!

    1911 question

Never shot a 10mm. Would love to. I know that’s an expensive round. As for reloading, I don’t. Something I’d like to do if I had more time. But right now it’s next to impossible with work and family.

    1911 question

Just a quick background. I got my NYC license 7 months ago. Since that time I've purchased 2 handguns. I have a S&W M&P 2.0 and the Shield, both in 9mm. I shoot whenever I can get to the range, which isn't as often as I like because of work and family commitments. That said, I've been doing...

Thank you. I definitely plan on getting some training. Haven't been around guns since I used to hunt, and that was rifles. Not too familiar with handguns living in the city. Only had the opportunity to shoot when we used to go upstate to my friends property. Luckily, I have a club/range...
