Still waiting I’ve called and they said it’s with the investigator still. I guess they are sitting on it and hoping it hatches, lol. We’re almost at two years now.
My friend put his in at the same time and he called. They said they sent them over to the judge. Apparently the judge just lets them pile up. It is crazy though how long it’s taking.
Yeah I was fingerprinted in April. The officer said they were running about 6 months. So I’m creeping up in 9 months now. I did hear that about the judge that she lets them pile up. I know amendments are taking a very long time.
If you look at there website it shows three different judges hearing it and they don’t look like favorable judges. I hope the 2nd circuit page is wrong
I have to rescind what I said about being hopeful about the second circuit. One trump judge, one bush and one Clinton. The Bush judge was the author of the decision that got overturned in Bruen. He actually wrote the opinion that upheld New York’s carry law. The trump judge says he’s an...
I know they gave a stay until the appeal but this
panel hearing the appeal is 2 Republican appointees to one democrat. They were bassically just given cover by the Supreme Court to do the right thing. I’m hopeful they will uphold the district courts ruling.
I don’t think she will deny it. I think she will refer it to the full court for a vote. If she denies it then Thomas will get to write the order himself when they file again. She would prob rather it go to the full court.
A stay pending a ruling isn’t that uncommon. They didn’t grant the states motion for stay pending appeal just a temporary stay until the panel rules on the motion. The panel has a bush judge, a trump judge and a Obama judge. So I think that is a good thing that’s 2-1 for us.
They did though at first Times Square was challenged and the subway. I can’t find anything official that says NYC still needs an endorsement to carry with a upstate license. I even looked at the NYC info page and it just says a NY license is required. I’ll find the link.
Trucks and SUVs are exempt from rear window tint. Front still has to be 70% though. Cars have to have 70% or more on all side windows driver and rear passenger Windows. Look at the sticker on the door if it says mpv then rears are exempt is it says passenger then rears are tested. Also cars 1992...
I've been thinking about building one but I'm not entirely sure if it's worth it. The round has lots of power but they are $3 a round. I can reload them but it's still not cheap. Does anyone have one?
Lol yeah your not wearing a 1/2" plate. A 1/4" inch ar500 plate is gonna stop a lot of rounds though. Ar500 is so hard that when rounds go through they don't go through the plate as much a pop a whole through. Like a whole puncher through paper. Look at the whole in the video that's bigger than...
As a welder ar500 does not start as hot rold steel. It's has other metals mixed it so it will respond to heat treating. Hot rold steel does not respond to heat treating. Ar500 has chromium mixed it as well as higher carbon.
I agree the ar500 I have was incredible. It stopped the 155 and 162 grain ap rounds with no problem. Like I said they were out a win mag at 3400 fps. The 55 grain out the ar-15 didn't even chip the plate I'll post a up close pic of the impact.
When I looked at the plate again it went through 1.75" of the 7075 aluminum so the plate is just a little weaker than the cold rold steel. Aluminium can get very strong in the right alloys.
The 1/2" ar500 plate just exploded the steel core of the black tip and silver tip. The 55 grain did absolutely nothing to the plate. I think it would take a 50 bmg to get through 1/2". Look at how wide the divots are. You can see the core just shatters when it hits the plate.
7075 alumium very strong aluminum. Stronger than most steels. It's basically what's used on Bradley's. The black tip went trough on one shot and the other was stopped because it hit at an angle. The plate was 1.25" the one that was stopped went through 1.5" before stopping. That's why they mount...
I'm gonna break this down by metal type first it 1.5" cold rold steel. This is stronger than hot rolled. Only shot it with black tip out of 300 mag. You can see how much it went through with the screwdriver.
I fired black tip and silver tip 308 rounds out of a win mag. The black tip penetrated better it went through 1.4" of cold rold steel 1.5" of 7075 aluminum and .35 inches of ar500 steel. I will post pics tomorrow of the plates. So out of a ar-10 or 308 riffle you have no chance. The 155 grain...
More than 10 long guns also triggers an FBI flag.
Edit this appears only to be for the four border states with Mexico. So multiple long guns in NY doesn't matter,
