People out here carry all the time. not so much in the big cities, but in Williams, Hurricane (Hur-i-can) Bolder city, Payson and you can't carry anywhere that serves alcohol. If a place does sell alcohol, you must "check" your firearm at the door or upon request.

In the west, where it is legal to open carry, literally, no one cares

"OH, you mean south Canada".

I think many of the anti gun folks project their own mental illnesses and lack of self control onto everyone else. They are afraid of people have guns they will shoot each other over parking spots or every disagreement between people will be a shootout.
