A vast section of NY is within that zone, as is a lot of i-90, 190, 81 and 86

There are entire counties that fall under that designation.

Last time I had to do a "fruit stop" was in Florida, and the so called search was asking if we had any produce or live plants and having to ask permission to look in the trunk - which with nothing to hide we opened, but that only authorized them to do a visual, hands-off search. They have no just cause whatsoever to perform an invasive search. Commercial trucks they do have more latitude, but only with cause that will stand up to scrutiny. Elias is obviously to stupid to even do the most basic research before spewing out his rancid liberal fantasies - and the big media chains love emotional fluff shit like this and will happily re-print it for the next decade.

A "detainment" IS an "arrest."

According to their oath to the 4th amendment, no person can be rightly "seized" or "arrested" or "detained" without a warrant.

And that warrant can ONLY be issued upon PROBABLE CAUSE (Objective Articulable Fact) supported by Oath or Affirmation that a crime has been committed.

Further, that warrant is to specifically state what is to be searched and the person or things need to be "seized" and WHY (Probable Cause) -

Every cop SWORE they would NOT violate this basic, unalienable RIGHT.

I’ve seen NYSP and CBP stopping buses on NY-17 aka I-86. From inside the bus… I was riding the grey dog to a trucking job. That’s almost there, and it’s common practice.
