Welcome to our new comrades in arms!
You can do it!I want to like this. I do.
Serious statement, I hope all of these new gun owners take a small amount of training. Even if, with everything shut down, it is watching some good safety videos on YouTube,.
i lightened my load a bit myself.I sold a bunch during this time.
You’re not alone. Me neither. Glad I didn’t either. I use my landscaping side cash to buy guns and it seems my season is going to dry up. I’ve had about $2,300 in jobs canceled do to the CV. Now I find out I can’t get materials delivered and homedepots website says they are only delivering what I used to pick up there. I have to call tomorrow to find out what’s up. My go to place is cheaper and easier to deal with. I need some stuff for my yard and it will cost me $300-$350 more ordering it from home depot than my local go to place. I’m over this shit.I didn't buy a new gun![]()
We didnt buy any guns recently but.....
My significant other is dead set on a stupid Shockwave!!
She like the"tactical" look of it.
Ive been pushing her to hip fire my Mossberg 500 with whimpy #6 birdshot to show her she doesnt want a Shockwave for home defense.....it will be a bitch with #4 buckshot.
It doesnt help that our local shop has them for $199.
So, a stupid useless shotgun is probably in my near future.
Runnings, in Rome - yesterday, April 6th. Friend selling firearms there says they have been swamped with people buying firearms - long guns in particular, since MANY are very first time buyers, with NO FIREARMS EXPERIENCE. He said, it's a little exasperating - since he has to spend a lot of time, giving some basic safety instructions, to people who have never even held or shot a firearm before, ... and many of them with no one close to them to help with basic safe handling instructions. I am hoping there is not an increase in 'firearms accidents' - and if YOU personally - know of someone who may be included in this 'new owners group' - try to educate them a little. Right now, there are NO Hunter Education classes, or shooters instruction classes taking place. (Wall display racks were pretty much empty.) Be well & be safe!
So there really is a rush on first time gun owners. Very interesting.
As soon as the normies start to panic and see society fighting over toilet paper some of their first reactions are "oh shit I need a gun".
I would love to hear some first time gun buyer interviews.
We really haven't had an influx in new member sign ups here. Darn.
I wouldn't hold my breath. Most of these new gun buyers will quickly forget once things go back to normal. They most likely don't give a rats ass about 2A or guns and are just following the panicked herd mentality the same way they follow and believe the absurd myths about guns and gun ownership the media feeds them. If they do actually hold onto their gun, it will likely sit in their closets for good or they will be looking to sell them. I'd also bet a lot of people bought guns that are not the greatest intro guns to foster a healthy interest.Maybe the normies will finally come to the understanding that gun laws aren't as lax as the media has been telling them all these years.
Addendum to my post above, on Runnings: - My friend also mentioned how many of the people seemed to be 'very surprised' - an put out, by the hoops you have to jump through just to purchase a long gun. Maybe we will end up with more 2nd Amendment supporters. One can still hope!
