9th circuit court has already stated that waiting periods for people who already own guns is unconstitutional. Won't be too hard to get an injunction in a court of law, however we don't have any of those in the PRNY.
I remember reading a story from an FFL in I think California where a law like this exists.
Basically the dude sold a handgun to a woman who just got out of an abusive relationship, the police recommended she buy a gun cuz the ex was out for blood.
He ran the 4473, came back good and said “see you in 10 days”. She was shocked but his hands where tied. A couple days later he read in the paper this very woman was missing. They never found her body. Had she been able to walk out with that gun i think the story would be different.
True or not (I’m inclined to believe it is) this story serves a valuable purpose. They aren’t thinking of the unintended consequences of their laws. They claim to care about the oppressed. They don’t. They claim to be feminists and support a woman’s right to choose. How about supporting a woman’s right to choose Glock vs S&W to defend herself with?
