Proves that brand of sight can handle recoil well. Other than that, that pistol has to be good for "minute of barn" and that's about it.
OTOH, I've wanted to get a Serbu Firearms Super Shorty for quite a while, so what does that say....

I think those Tasco dots are great for .22 pistols and the like. For the price they work great, and you don't need anything more expensive on low recoil guns.
On this thing though.. my guess is that IF it doesn't break, there's still no way it's staying sighted in.
As far as the pistol is concerned, might be fun to shoot.. once.. maybe. I don't even personally enjoy shooting .44magnum anymore.

The problem with a short barrel on a .50 is the slow burning powder. The round was designed for a 40"+ barrel. Even the 30" on full size rifles gives a lot away.
Has anyone even posted the MV of a .50 out of a 6" barrel ? It wouldn't surprise me if the 12g actually had more velocity (and a similar mass projectile).
Hmm, maybe what you want is a .50 projectile loaded in a 12g sabot for these pistols
Either that or custom loaded rounds with a lower weight of a much faster burning powder.
Expert reloader only need apply on that last one though. I don't think I'd want to try working that up without a serious test rig capable of measuring actual chamber pressure.
