hey guys, new to 1911’s just picked up my first one 2 weeks ago. I bought a new barrel bushing and plug for it not realizing the the plug wouldn’t work because my gun had a full length guide rod and needed the hole through the plug.
My question is what guide rod do I need to use so I can keep my new plug without the hole. Everything I read says I need a gi style guide rod but I see there are a lot of different styles. One piece two piece different lengths. I’m lost and was hoping someone here might know.
