Finally deciding to sell my 1917 K98a
I've put about two boxes of 8mm through it and it does cycle like a dream, but I received the gun in trade for a beat up Mosin in 2017-ish and over the years I've been sourcing original parts and slowly trying to restore the gun to all-original status. The final two parts I've been stuck on have been the rear barrel band and the stacking hook, the hook is on APEX Gun parts for 50$, which is more than I'm willing to pay and the barrel band popped up on Ebay recently for another 80$, which is FAR more than I'm willing to pay.
All parts essential to firing are in good condition for their age, and the top cover is a rough replacement that was fab'd very recently. Stock is salvageable with a bit of TLC and none of the parts have had any refinishing besides a bit of grease and cleaning to prevent rusting and seizing.
The price was 500$ obo, which is a combination of what I paid for my Mosin combined with the price of parts. Lowered to 400$
Will also take trade in suitably priced optics, sights, or milsurp [incl. pistols.]
