Chapter 1
It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen. Winston Smith, his chin nuzzled into his breast in an effort to escape the vile wind, slipped quickly through the glass doors of Victory Mansions, though not quickly enough to prevent a swirl of gritty dust from entering along with him.
He was now certainly going to be late to his first day of work packaging hand sanitizer rations at the new Ministry of Safety. Winston had gotten nearly halfway there before he noticed he wasn't wearing his FACECOVER. This COVIDLAW was so new, but hopefully due to the STAYHOME keeping most party members working safely in their apartments with the new REMOTEWORK devices, the only person that could have seen his bare face was the pitiful old republican woman out hunting rats in hopes of feeding her children. Winston didn't much like rat, and never learned to hunt since his regions FREEMEAL location usually reopens no more than a few days after his food runs out.
Cuomo didn't vaporize all the republicans yet, choosing instead to leave some to control the rat population, and provide entertainment for the inner party...
