2017’s States Most Dependent on the Gun Industry

WalletHub “compared the economic impact of guns on each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia to determine which among them leans most heavily on the gun business both directly for jobs and political contributions and indirectly through ownership.”

These 10 states were found to be most dependent on the firearms industry:

1. Alaska
2. Wyoming
3. Montana
4. South Dakota
5. Idaho
6. Kentucky
7. Kansas
8. Arkansas
9. North Dakota
10. Alabama

And these 10 were found to be the least dependent:

1. Rhode Island
2. Delaware
3. New York
4. New Jersey
5. California
6. Maryland
7. Michigan
8. Massachusetts
9. Connecticut
10. Hawaii

The only thing shocking about this is that NY isn't last.

I'm still perplexed on why a company would still be located in a state that wants to put them out of business!

If I were a manufacturer, I'd be damn if I would let one single tax dollar go to any state who's ultimate goal is to bankrupt me.

Just Right Carbines are made in Canandaigua. I think... and Crosman airguns are in Bloomfield.

No Remington anymore though in NYs. I thought they moved to Alabama. I could be wrong. There's a few others. Turnbull manufacturing is by me. Small shop.
