I saw an accident involving a deer last weekend on my way down to hunt. I must have got there right after. No deer around so must have gotten up and walked away.

Driving around for work today and tons of deer out. I’m in a rural town in southern tier of NYS and I stopped my car within 15-20’ of these three deer to snap these cell phone photos. The buck was sitting there for 2-3 minutes and I drove away. He followed me with his eyes as I drove away. All on the smaller side, but not terrible except the one doe was too small to shoot for sure.

This is the first year in my new place with property of my own to hunt. Shitty part is I've been so busy this year. This is the first year I've missed opening day of bow in probably 10 years. Barley got out all season, my pop been over a few times and came in tonight telling me he got busted by a nice buck in my new ladder stand. Hoping Friday I can get out and put something in the freezer.

I’ll be going Saturday afternoon and Sunday. The wife was getting mad I was gone so much. So no all day Saturday and Sunday. I missed my sons college visit and he loved the college and that’s what aggregated her. If he didn’t like it she wouldn’t have said a word.

She doesn’t give me shit about much of anything at all. She needs help with a few things around here for thanksgiving and I can’t blame her. She’s good to me and I’m good to her. She wouldn’t ask if she didn’t need the help. She works a lot and pays more of the bills than I do. I get to keep most of my side cash for what I want.
