I don't think so. Vance is the one out there grabbing the headlines, no doubt in preparation for a presidential run. Bondi would be a mistake, she doesn't have "it". If they want to put forward a female candidate it should be Gabbard, solid centrist candidate with broad appeal. Used to be an anti gunner but she seems to have come well off that. That said I have gone from not knowing what a "Vance" was to liking him quite a bit. Rand Paul is still my dream candidate, I was a big supporter of his father as well.

The 2028 Republican primary will be the first primary of any sort I will have any interest in. There are numerous potential candidates that would be actually good AND viable. A good debate and policy could actually sway me towards a particular candidates and even beyond that the defeat of my favored candidate wouldn't necessarily leave me dejected but rather hopeful for tge candidate that does get the nod. The Republican field is now quite deep, any of a number of people I could be happy with.

my view is this, she will cave. The Tesla "keyers" will get, maybe, a year in jail plus restitution, plus 3 to 5 years probation. The firebomber's will get a 5 to 10 year sentence ( if caught ) plus restitution ( that none can afford ) and 5 years probation

I think Vance is well spoken, smart, and articulate. As know he is who I’m hoping is prepared to and will run. His wife is a minority so hard to call him a racist.

not a chance. JD is in the drivers seat. Bondi would make a good VP for JD, or I would go with a JD/Stefanik ticket, the only way Bondi get to be on the ticket is if she actually starts doing her job and arrest's people.

I'm hoping it's JD. He's crushing it in his role so far. He reminds me of a younger, more polished version of DJT. he's still absolutely a fighter but as an attorney it's clear he can communicate his vision in a well crafted manner but still not be a pushover and take people to task.

A year is probably reasonable for petty vandalism like keying the car.
They're assholes, but a year in jail may be enough to teach them.
5-10 for the arsonist is probably a bit light, I'd certainly like to see more for a violent crime like that.
But realistically I think we'll be lucky to see them get that much.

I think that most sentences tend to be too heavy-handed. We hand out years like they're candy. 1 year for keying a car seems excessive, for example - that's 1.5% of someone's entire life. I think they'd learn the same lesson from 1 month. That said, it would certainly serve as a good deterrent.
That said, way back in the day when I had a jealous ex-gf keying my beloved car, I'd have loved to see her pay dearly. /shrug

You also need to remember that a 20 year sentence only really means 5 behind bars for anything but a federal charge.
