I brought him in with one howl, then waited 2 mins and he came in to barks. Tried to make him think someone was stealing his food and it worked.8 left, go get Em !!!
Did you ever try out the video recording on the new scope? What are your thoughts on the clarity of the 640 sensor?I got the new scope sighted in for the .204 platform last weekend, but I wasn't really happy with it. Of course, it was all my fault for not paying good enough attention as I was doing it. I couldn't make the reticle adjustments small enough to get it dialed in as well as I wanted. Today after the 4-1/2 hour coffee meeting I went back to the range and had the scope mounted on the .223 Wylde platform. The scope has the ability to save settings for 3 guns. This time I figured out how to get the point of impact where it needed to be. The adjustments aren't super precise. Each "click" is one mil, so 1.1" @ 100. Certainly that's close enough. Minute of coyote is larger than that. I'll try to get back to the range with the .204 and dial it in a little closer this week, and Friday will be the first night afield with it. Playing with it near my house has me drooling to go out with it.
So what's the tease ?This is what they call a "tease" in the entertainment industry....stay tuned for next saeson's hottest new item....coming soon. I promise a bunch of pictures.
The I-Ray is absolutely incredible. It looks like a black and white photograph. I still like to use the black and white with red hot to scan. I have a little video on it, but mostly animals that are rather close, like the deer and rabbits in my back yard. The FLIR scope recorded the shot automatically, but this one does not. I didn't do enough messing around with it to remember to start recording while hunting at the end of last season. I still haven't figured out how to transfer video or still photo files from the scope to a laptop then to my phone to upload them. If I get them to my phone, I can do it, but getting them there is another story...Did you ever try out the video recording on the new scope? What are your thoughts on the clarity of the 640 sensor?
This is as much of an answer as you're going to get until the project gets posted : Identical twins. So what's the tease ?
I'm awaiting for the carbon fiber X barrel to arrive for my Impulse predator.
My problem is more that I'm a techno-moron. I don't know how any of it works, and should I actually figure it out somehow, it was an accident and I can't repeat what I did. After shooting at some dogs and not finding them afterwards because I needed to get home to view the internal recorded video to see if I made a good shot or not, I finally got the correct cable to be able to view my recorded video with my phone in the field.
There were times that I swore they went left and they actually went right and I was looking in the wrong area.
That took me a couple of years to accomplish, so I'll give you some leeway with posting videos.
That I-ray is a really nice scope.
The twins are well underway, but I'm taking my time with them so they turn out well. No hurry for them, but they'll be ready by the time they become useful.Your going to need to open a Rumble or U tube account to upload the recorded video link for posting.
Identical twins sounds expensive and hopefully you'll get it accomplished before the fall season starts.
Seeing how its a newer model scope, you should be able to download an I-Ray app to your phone. Connect the scope to your phone using wifi. Then while your hunting, turn phone on, connect to the scope and download right to your phone. No laptop needed. My problem is more that I'm a techno-moron. I don't know how any of it works, and should I actually figure it out somehow, it was an accident and I can't repeat what I did.
