I use these 40 grainers in my 218 bees and Hornets. The 218 bees COAL is too long for the Winchester 43’s magazines , so went with a shorter head. But loaded single shot, they are very accurate.

Fuck me...blame it on the kid he was running the camera...Sierra 50 grain blitz...that gray trailer following the projectile to the target was the bullet about to come apart...depending on your twist you might have to slow that bullet down on Sierra blitz and Hornady sxsp’sIf that's a video isn't working

2000 rounds is a good number given some care is taken to let it cool like when you shoot woodchucks and occasional target.
If one shoots PDs and start to get trigger happy one can overheat and then barrel might last half of that or even less.
The key is to let it cool like any other caliber and will probably start chasing the lands after 1500 round or so in the average rifle.
Again this depends on the actual bullets, rate of fire, rifling, twist, etc...
IMO the 223 makes a lot more sense and one can get at least 2 times if not more the amount of shots before you start chasing
the lands and see some mayor accuracy issues with these hyper velocity rounds.
