Outdoors at the Oneida Rifle Club.
Reactive steel targets from 25 yards to 115 yards.
Any 22LR rifle, preferably scoped and 2 magazines, 10 round is best.
50+ rounds of ammo
$10 Match fee

This match will loosely mimic a NRL22 or PRS type match.
There will be ~5 stages. One will be from a shooting bench and one will be off hand.
The rest of the stages will have you resting the rifle on a variety of barricades to make the shots.
Targets will range from 1 inch or smaller at 25 yards to 8 to 12 inches at 115 yards.
There will be about 10 shots on each stage. You will only engage each target once, hit or miss you move on to the next target.
There will be a time limit of 2 minutes to shoot each stage.

At 9am we will have 15 minutes allowed for you to check the zero of your rifle, using the steel targets already out on the range.
We will break into 2 squads and begin the match immediately afterward.

Weather looks fantastic for this weekend.
Hello, On Sunday Sunday Sept 17th. Bar-20 and Eatonbrook Rod and Gun Club will be running a varmint silhouette match. Targets are silhouettes of a rat,crow, squirrel, woodchuck and rabbit. The gun will be any .22 rimfire rifle (no magnums), only 2 classes, optics (includes scopes and red dots) and iron's The match will loosely follow NRA silhouette rules. All targets are shot offhand. This is a 40 shot match. Distances are 25m 50m 75m and 100m. Targets get bigger the farther you go. We will be using empty chamber flags when not on the line, we do have some. All guns will be in racks and not handled when anybody is downrange. We will have a safe table, no ammo at the safe table. Safety is of the utmost importance. This is a great opportunity to get out that 22 you have wanted to shoot but haven't. This is also a chance to get out with your spouse, son, daughter, grand kids, This is a great place for learning. Fee is $10, 17 and under shoot for free as long as they have a guardian there. The guardian does not have to shoot. Start time is 10am hopefully we will be ready so that there can be open practice starting by 9:30 (we should be there by 8:30). Any help is appreciated. Please be sure to bring any water or drinks you might need during the match. No alcohol of course. There are some pictures on the Facebook page.
All proceeds from the match will go to a free kids fishing derby put on by Eatonbrook Rod & Gun Club 1st Saturday in August.
If there should be a cancellation I will send a email out on Friday before shoot.
Even if you do not shoot, stop and see if you would be interested and don't worry if you have never done it. Just come on down and we will help. We are a very shooter friendly club.
