22LR and Large capacity Mags

Maybe this has been asked before. Am I correct in assuming that you can use 25 round magazines in a 10/22?

Negative. They are referring to a tube magazine. See Marlin Model 60 for example.

No the exemption is only for the tubular fed magazines. The 10/22 uses a detachable magazine.

What if you made a 100 round tubular 10/22 mag ?

Snaps in, and holds ammo in 10 x 10round tubes. rotates to the next tube automatically when the follower hits the feed lips on the current one...

Thats one of my thoughts.
A revolving cylinder(tube) of cylinders(tubes) inside a cylinder(tube)......totally tubular.

Hmmmm.... The big 10/22 magazines are a tube that a spring and follower ride in. So...legal as long as its attached to the rifle!

I really wish that I could use 25 round mags in a 10-22. When I'm target shooting with one of my 10-22's I go through a lot of rounds... As it is, I have a lot of 10 round rotary mags. But that is just making the best of a bad situation.

A 25 round magazine turns the beloved 10-22 into a "weapon of war" don't ya know...

Can things possibly get more fucked up? Never mind. Bad question.

One stipulation is that the magazines cannot be located, stored or used in the state of NY , NJ ( 15 rd limit), CA, and other freedom hating areas.

It would have had to have been made >50 years ago and I believe it (the feeding device) would have to be registered.

No. Rifles like the Ruger 10/22 uses a detachable magazines for reloading.

Rifles like the Marlin 60 are tube feed.. which the tube is not detachable for reloading.
