1. Is there an attorney anywhere in NYS considered to be the 'best' for 2nd amendment issues?

2. If not necessarily the 'best', which attorneys are known to have experience with 2nd amendment issues?

Paul Ciminelli for criminal defense
John Speranza for criminal defense

Paul Ciminelli is former military and is also a firearms instructor.
John Speranza was recommended by Sheldon Boyce when I asked him one night whom he would call if he needed a criminal defense attorney.

Parrinello may be good, but I'd stay away from him. He has a stigma attached to him. He's generally thought of as the one that guilty people hire to get them off on the charges. I also don't like the way he conducts himself personally nor professionally. That's just the opinion of one random dude on the internet though, and should be taken as such.

But, If I recall correctly, he beat that charge. I have great respect for Parrinello, he fights with every tool available to him in the best interest of the client he is representing and THAT is his job. Now I might abhor the thought of some of the dirt bags he represents getting off but that would be the fault of a prosecutor that didn't fight as hard, or didn't put a good and proper case together for we the people.

While it's disappointing to have to have a good 2A attorney at your disposal, I feel that it's only prudent to at least have the name of a good criminal defense attorney available - especially if you carry a firearm. You don't always get to choose when, where, or how the fight is brought to you. It's absolutely imperative that you consider what happens AFTER an attack as part of your self or home defense plan.

Yes, his name should be John "the client is obviously guilty" Parrinello. He certainly fights for his clients but my sense is most people believe his clients are guilty. Not sure the excess baggage having him as an attorney is worth it.

They strung people along and used Unsafe as a marketing tool for their firms...
They created false hope.

....just like the NRA.

Look at CCW Safe instead.

From what I have checked +1 on CCW safe and positive feedback on Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network (more of a co-op than insurance to get by laws banning up front payment for criminal defense or re-imbursement if found guilty on a charge) also, so there are good choices mixed in with the more questionable choices.
