Presumtive possession. PL 265.15 (3). If the gun is not on one person, if it's just somewhere in the car, then all occupants in the car are considered in possession of it.

I don't care for articles as this because "3 black men were stopped for a traffic charge" What was the infraction ? Speeding ? Lights? Tire pressure low ? Oil sticker over due ? Far too many reasons guilty or not.
They look like upstanding citizens to me, only made a mistake. Probably could not understand our worded laws.
