just saw this quickly on my phone but can’t find the article now. Saw that CNN is reporting California will consider putting the option of forming 3 California’s splitting the state. If they can do it there can’t it be done here.

As to why it can’t happen here I think California does things differently and puts more to the people to vote on. Also if it passes in California does not mean it will happen. It still has to be voted on federally. Also this could be a good thing. They would loose some liberal power in the house, senate, and the electoral college.

Congressional representation shouldn’t change. Because population isn’t changing. Six senators instead of two though. Who knows how that would play out and do you think the rest of the country will let California have four more senators?

They only idea I’ve heard that may work is one state split up into regions. I was reading a few years ago about how we could do it in ny.

It would include oakland, San jose, San francisco Nd Sacramento. Arguably 4 of the most liberal areas in the country. They would still have the same problem with the urban areas determining state politics.

The problem for America is all 3 New states would be carved up in a way to,where the new states would all stay blue .they wouldn't become red. So they still keep the same amount of delegates but increase the amount of senators.

So cal IMO would be the most likely of the 3 to go red and it's not Very likely it would flip red.
