Most run whatever. No one asks. It is all dont ask dont tell.
No matter what the answer should always be yes. 100% legal. No one asks though....
Just remmeber if you show up with a “gay” stick everyone will know and you will never be able to “pretend” again.
No one runs a fixed mag. As a MD i probably would not allow it....maybe running the ejection port loading units.....but i have par times anyway....some guys with detachable mags time out. Fixed mag guys would get killed. (Especially on the mandatory mag change stage!)

Obviously at this point purchase options to start getting into these matches means running a compliant set up. So I’m looking at whether its a viable option, or if I should just jump into a different format and focus on that.

Yes. People run thordsen stock rifles. (And other removable mag styles)
