The .30-30 Winchester cartridge was first marketed in 1895.

Depends on the condition. If it's in pristine condition, little sign of use... I would grab it for that price.
But I've seen some "used" Marlin 336 sell for less.
I know some selling a Marlin in 35Rem for under 3bills. but I'm waiting for pics. (already have 2. lol)

Yeah. That's what I thought but wanted some conformation

I am a Marlin guy , I have a few and love to shoot and deer hunt with them . When buying one get an older "JM" stamped made in CT gun there are tons floating around. The first run of Remington made ones right after the transition are total garbage the current ones are supposed to be really good but I don't trust them....not yet anyway

I have both a Marlin 336 30-30, and a Winchester 94, also 30-30. Both made in 1957, and both are great rifles.
