32-20 RECOMMENDATIONS

I have a Winchester 1873, just got it back from a relative. Haven't shot it for a longtime, so I dropped it off to a local gunsmith to work on it. When I get it back, I will be shooting it, of course. Does anyone have a favorite brand of 32-20 they shoot? Since my model takes 32 wcf, which is the same as 32-20. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I would say get a few boxes of different Bullet weights and brands to see what shoots best. Obviously reloading your own would be your best bet. Cool little caliber.

32-20 ammo has gotten expensive. You can get reloaded boxes of 50 on GB for around $30 plus shipping, then save the brass. I have an old Winchester 92 takedown that is great fun to shoot. I reload and make mild loads for it. All reloading components are readily available for it. Lil'Gun, 4227, H110 powders all work great and any .312-312" bullet will work. Especially with the 1873, don't load it hot...and being tube-fed, give the neck a healthy crimp.
