I did a search and found fairly favorable reviews on it. The bottom line on it is that is a very good copy of the original 1911. With that comes simple sights, plastic grips, and a hammer that bites. Fit and finish get real good remarks and the thing goes bang when the trigger is pulled. I'm considering it unless the wife has a better idea.

A few years ago I bought a Rock Island with the intention of using it as a cheap gun to modify. I changed the grips, sights, added an extedned mag release and did a trigger job. I was happy enough with the rest of the gun that I didn't need to touch anything else.
