i wish you well .. on 35 rem ..
last i knew it was only made once a year and its gone fast ..
my friend got one and within a week sold it off because of the ammo cost
70 bucks and up for a box of 20 on the web
might be better to find some brass and powder and Reload for it ..

You'd think that a Rifle Cartridge that's been in common use for a century would be easily procurable, but such is no the case... I thought I hit the jackpot at a Gun Show: there was a Plastic Ammo box with ~30 rounds in it, looked like "factory" ammo, so I bought it, only to discover that the necks were split....fuck! Well, College isn't cheap.

Definately have to reload or find someone to do it for you. If you know someone that has a press, after buying the dies and bullets (assuming they have the right powders, LR primers, and using your old brass), it would still be cheaper than a box of 20 rounds.
Reloading isn't difficult or involving a lot of Voodoo, especially for a caliber like .35 Remington.

I don’t have anything at all. Just purchased the gun the other day. Didn’t realize how crazy it was to get ammo (my mistake). Was thinking about getting into reloading at this point. Just no idea where to start or what to purchase

YouTube is your friend. Start by watching some of the videos put out by the reloading press manufacturers and go from there. Gathering all the components will be your biggest starting hurdle, after that it’s just a matter of the learning curve which isn’t all that difficult. Once you get going you’ll wonder why you didn’t get into it sooner.
Brass be it once fired or new (Starline is my favorite) is damn difficult to find in .35 and for a while, the bullets were hard to find as well. (.35 Rem uses a "softer" jacketing as it has a lower velocity than most .358 Rifles) Dies are $35. for a set, Large Rifle Primers are unobtanium right now, but honestly you could get away with Large Pistol or Large Pistol Magnum Primers given the case size and powder charge. Still you should be able to get everything besides the Brass for under a buck and a half.
If you're anywhere near Mannsville (exit 39 off I-81) Caliber Plus (member here) has some .35 Rem. Coming in, but won't last long.

Why would this caliber be heading for extinction? So many folks have rifles chambered in .35 rem. So many hunters swear by it? Hell it’s one of my favorites. Now, 8mm Kurtz is readily available but how many folks own an Stg44?

i won a Savage Rife at gun raffle .. my pick on what caliber i wanted ..
i seen how 308 disappears at hunting times ..
already have a 223 savage rifle
so i went with a 270 win and reload for it now ..
easy to take 30-06 cases and make them 270 win ..
i still have 100 ... 30-06 cases in the shop to convert if needed
i reload the 270 win pretty close to what you get in
the whitetail box ..

I feared the rifles/handguns with odd calibers would get screwed like this. Even .30-30 was hard to find 3 months ago and now that it's back it's expensive. My sister couldn't even find .243 last spring. Finally in stock but $40/box of 20.
