here is the answer -
US Marine Corps 3 gun team dominates the World Championship
US Marine Corps 3 gun team dominates the World Championship
Are these official teams? They get paid by the tax payers, use all ammo they want, travel for free, practice all they want. Just to go out and beat tax payers in competitions that the tax payer pays out of pocket for.
Not impressed more annoyed by the concept.
pLease tell me they atleast pay for there own guns.

What's really annoying is people who make ignorant statements before taking the time to understand what they are talking about, but hey, it's 'merica and someone fought for your right to be an idiot and say whatever you want, it's not hard to do a little research and show a little respect before bad mouthing people who dedicate their lives to service and protection of others. How do you know they use all the ammo they want, paid by tax payers? Did you talk to them, did you ask them? Obviously you have not. Show some respect and ask your questions with a sincere interest in learning, before assuming you know the answers and passing judgement. Spend a week with them, talk to them, learn from them while they learn from other competition shooters.
“We travel to civilian competitions around the U.S. to observe tactics, procedures and weapons that are used, and we mold it and adapt it to combat,” said Lucero, a Denver, Colorado, native. “Our goal as instructors is to do what we can to teach the Marines to stay combat effective instead of just shooting stationary targets.”
The members of these teams are great Americans, who serve and protect. They learned a lot from our competition shooters, their competition gear, and tweaks during 3 gun camp, and they gave us a lot of their time helping train our junior competition shooters, sharing knowledge, techniques, and experience. They are a very impressive group. My son is a Young Marine and a Junior Competition Shooter, he understands the meaning of service and knows how to listen, ask questions, and learn without making a fool of himself, you sound like a manager at Chiles.[/QUO
Yup. Thats it. That is their militay job. Shooting.
Yup. Tax payers pay just like they pay for all other military jobs.
Yup. They beat us.
I think (i am not 100%) they even keep their prizes.....which i object to. They should be given to the military.
.
I sound like an adult who knows how the world works, who doesn't gush over an orginization because my son is personally part of there mini me Marines club. You took immediate offense, slung names at a valid question and answered non of them.
Mangers at chilis Make a decent salary, i'm sure they work hard to provide for there families but being pretentious father of the Junior Marine you don't feel the job is a important as those ho "understand the meaning of service"?
For all you former military guys who, may be manageing a chilies you better quit your jobs apparently they aren't honorable enough for you.
You really don't get it do you. I was talking about this manager:
Chili's manager takes away vet's free meal on Veterans Day
And i was talking about military spending ...
Mattis Presses for Immediate $30 Billion Extra for Defense
So you rather than soldiers didn't practice and learn the best techniques for fighting?
I agree that we spend too much overall on everything. And it's dumb to be the world's policeman when all we really should do is protect our border. But if it costs $100k or $500k to train a really effective fighting man and they can do the work of 10 clumsy rag tops and come home safely - that's money well spent.
We will have to agree to disagree. I understand the point you are trying to make, I just don't agree. I also think your opinion would change if you had more in depth understanding of the program, and the people in the program. I want people who are risking their lives for your freedom, to have the very best training they can get. The shooting team members serve our country in ways you don't know or understand.
It wasn't sold to my Son as an adventure. He has thousands of hours of volunteer time which he has spent as a Young Marine helping others. Friday nights and Saturdays when most other kids his age are all about themselves. He volunteers, Feeding and helping Vets, disadvantaged people, working at food kitchens, etc. It's about serving, helping, contributing, protecting. It's not about winning a game, or yelling at someone. I hate to see the people that give so much, so selflessly, get a bad rap from people who don't take the time to understand before they pass judgement. I mean really, you think those team members are serving so they can get free ammo and match fees?

I learned the fundamentals of 3 gun VIA youtube ... i didn't spend thousands of dallas traveling the US with a shooting team. I firmly believe our fighting men should have the best training, Last time i looked the soldiers had access to you tube.
Maybe we could have them do old school 3-gun competitions by mail, just post your targets and times, rely on the honor system?
Better yet train with lasers and BB guns!
It'd save a lot of money.
Are you trying to say that a team of a few guys traveling the county competing in 3 gun competition somehow improves the capabilities of the entire Marine Corps?
ABSOLUTE NONSENSE!
Any and all information can be found online to set stages up on base for training. The notion there is a need for a 3 gun team to travel the country to make our men better equipped is THE BIGGEST LOAD CRAP IVE EVER HEARD!
