Rochester has an area in the NW quadrant that is responsible for probably 95% of the violent crime annually in the entire area. Everyone that lives here knows about it, and has no business near there. Its the black hole where the bad guys kill the other bad guys daily..... but sadly at times there are civilian casualties. And that sucks for those families that are struggling and can oy afford to live in those war zone neighborhoods.

Overall, Rochester is a really nice area of NY..Ive lived here my entire life save a 4 year hiatus in college to Alfred.

I've been here since 1980 and had a few issues but depends where you are, my house is on one of only a few private streets in the city and that make a huge difference.

Clearly, what we need is more laws to stop people from defending themselves, Its common sense, Public disarmament is the only thing that will save lives. You dont see prisoners in jail shooting each other because they dont have guns. What we need is a public system more like jail, maybe Police will be able to randomly check homes for contraband guns in the name of public safety. People will be safer when the guards can help prevent shootings. Kinda like Australia only better. what we need is a good lock down of the public for safety reasons
