I had a S&W model 24 .44 Sp. years ago, another great gun that I let slip away. I reloaded for it using cast lead semi wad cutters with gas checks, I don't remember the powder, maybe Blue Dot. Long time ago but I do remember I was in the low-end .44 mag zone and the gunned and load were awesomely accurate. I'll call my son and see if my notes were with all the stuff I gave him.

Hmmmm, I think the load data would vary more by bullet weight than configuration. All my notes are gone. I was using the RCBS manual, circa 1980, and the Hornady manual as cross-reference. At the time I was using Unique and Blue Dot for all my pistol loading.
You really should have a manual, and two is even better.
