I have a Bond Arms Derringer in .45 colt/410 and an extra barrel in .357/.38spc. A lot of fun to shoot.
That will leave a mark. What the hell is that backstop?

Has a 3” barrel on the .357mag. 158 gr. Recoil is not bad. Very controllable. 4” barrel on the .45 colt. Recoil about the same as a .45acp with a 3” barrel.

Considering there appears to be little, if any, fill behind the ties, and that his target is higher than his "backstop", I'd say no.
That is what I was thinking.

agreed, I love my 1895, I love shooting it, although i don't mind the recoil.
Couldn't imagine the recoil and extreme shock to the hand shooting that thing, hahahaha...
That said, in a close quarter encounter, that will definitely provide One Shot Stopping Power! Little doubt there... You just hope you'll only need that one, or two. Lol
