Any known issues running a carbine buffer with rifle length spring/tube ?
I think that's a no go.
Carbine spring and carbine buffer with a spacer for the rifle tube would be my choice.

I hadn't thought of a spacer, great idea.I think that's a no go.

You could also take the weights out of the rifle buffer. Knock the roll pin out, take out the plastic tip and the weights should come right out (put the tip and the roll pin back before using it, obviously). I've heard of people with lightweight, adjustable gas builds running empty carbine buffers for the weight savings. I don't see why you can't do the same with a rifle buffer.
I much prefer the A2 stock over the adjustable carbine style stock.
I would try a H3 buffet before messing with gas system.
wtf?
stop trying to redesign the system. I have carbine gas system uppers on a2stocks and they run fine. I have rifle gas system uppers on carbine stocks and they run fine.
stop using 308 parts in a 556 system! wtf?
i guess know one read my 1st post
FUCKING CHEAP ASS SHIT FUCKING UPPER
send it back and buy a quality part, then it will run fine.
Unless you have a spacer to make up the length going from standard buffer to a shorter one in your buffer tube you will damage your gun. The bolt carrier will be allowed to travel too far rearward and will damage the carrier key and the buffer tube itself.I was, wanting a DRT deer gun.
Waited to long to range test her though, didn't anticipate more than sighting in. The trusty Rem 700 will start instead.
I will bring the smaller .308 rifle buffer and also a carbine 3oz. next range trip.

Opened gas port up to .078 from .066 , Still n/g got one bolt lock back on 8 tries , which is one more than none to date. Going to open it a bit more n try again.
