Absolutely true. The so called "State of emergency" in rochester is a sham, as Bob Lonsberry has pointed out. The mayor and the city council demonized the police and the last thing they want is an increased police presence in the city. The cynicism of democratic politicians is really beyond the pale.

Increased police presence could solve the problem. There goes their justification for their "emergency powers".

They would have to gin up a whole new emergency, and that's too much like work.
