Zeldin is losing by only 300k votes. Thats a big difference from Andy’s numbers. I know it doesn’t make a difference but it shows Zeldin peeled off alot more voters than expected. The last minute push in NYC pushed her over. Brooklyn and Manhattan alone gave her 1 million votes

I guess we now know where the people of this Country are at.

"The mid term elections will be an indicator of just what the fabric of our Country is made of. If there is not a Major adjustment ( and I mean MAJOR ) we will know just how screwed this Country is. Whatever adjustments I need to make in my life and how I proceed with my life will largely depend on what the mid terms show us. We piss and moan about the people running the show. However, there are millions of our fellow citizens who helped put them there. If those people are OK with what they got, I fear we are looking at an even stronger leaning Socialist like Country than we already have. That snowball rumbling down the slope has already grown in size and picked up some scary momentum. If some folks don't open their eyes and wake up or drag themselves out of denial about the false righteousness of their electoral choices that snowball will soon be a run away freight train!"

At the stage I am at in my life I have decided that it is futile for me to invest my time and emotional energy to carry on and lament the situation.
Best I can attempt is make do the best I can for myself in a shity situation. It is not like me because it means taking a more self centered and selfish attitude down the path that remains for me. However, at this juncture that seems to be the best course for me personally.
For those with more time left and with more youthful energy I wish nothing but the best. I will be there if and when called upon in any way shape or manner. Whether you are a believer , non believer or
agnostic, God help the Republic.

I can't understand why anyone reads the NYT. Its a complete hack of a newspaper and is nothing but a tabloid these days. Nothing redeeming about it.

Fetterman got his extra votes in July in early voting...........dead voted for sure there. Machines that switch votes are suspected again in AZ.

NYC citizens desrve the beatings and killing they will get over the next 4 years. Fuck them. No one files lawsutis for them like they do for the gun owners. We own upstate...........let NYC become machete ridden Zaire.

Don Bolduc lost big, for some strange reason.............yet to be explained. Our Congressional races seem to be helping the totals.

People were just not scared enough, or mad enough yet.

Again... It's the political migration. Red places will become darker red, and blue places will become more blue.

300,000 people fled NY state in just 2021 during the height of the covid thing. Hmmm what type of voters do you think those 300000 were? Many on this forum are in that group. My parents are 2 more among them who took their red voters and went to a red state.


Those 300,000 people who fled NY took their income and spending with them. They're being replaced by things like 4 BILLION in new green spending and another billion for a buffalo bills stadium. Yup. Taxes will go up. More freedoms will be restricted. And more angry red voters will leave. The state will become bluer. Wash rinse repeat.

It's an old trick in the toolbox. It works with all but the most hardiest of paywalls and ad blocking. Sometimes the timing has to be just right but this one in particular was easy to get around.

I'm disappointed with the results, but I never really expected Zeldin to win, or ever even liked him. At this point, I'm fine with accelerationism. Let them keep voting for this trash. Let the city get more dangerous. Let upstate continue to do whatever it wants. I will fight as long as I'm here, but I will absolutely be leaving this shithole for the United States as soon as it's financially possible.
