First question should be how a 6 year old got a hold of a loaded handgun, but we all know this "investigation" will degenerate into a dog and pony show and twisted to fit the anti-gun narrative.

Second, there should be a deep investigation into what precipitated the argument which lead up to the shooting. I'm not saying that deadly force should be used for verbal abuse or say if the teacher was sexualizing the child. Fact is, 6 year olds also do not have the mental capacity to comprehend the lethality of using a gun.

At the time of the shooting the school was the parents (in loco parentis).

The school can't have it both ways, either they get the authority that comes from being "temporary parents", and accept the responsibility that comes with it, or they don't get either.

Basically, the crime occurred on their watch.
