762x51 Magtech Ammo any good?

My Step grandson is wanting to buy a .308 and we are looking at ammo that has decent reloadable brass.

Is this stuff any good? The only Magtech ammo I had was 9mm and that stuff IIRC had the little shelf in it that others deemed not really reloadable. I don't reload 9mm so I didn't really care. Just cheap plinking ammo. I think I paid $20 for 100 last year or so.

I have some .308 Hornady SST's 150g that I'm going to load into that brass and give him some good hunting rounds.

I was given a bunch of that with a rifle I was paid to take. (A whole other story). It shot well.

My son was able to get 1" - 1½" groups with it out of a Savage Axis.

I haven't reloaded any of it

Magtech has been very good to me in a variety of calibers.

Yes. I just finished sorting my 308 brass and found 21 CBC headstamped cases.

No. My Grandson is buying a .308 and wants some decent brass to reload. Magtech hasn't been on my radar other than @C3D's reply. Thank you @C3D for the reply

If he gets the 308, PM me an address. I have about 65 Perfecta, 21 CBC, some Federal, and some mixed NATO (mostly Lake City) brass I'll send to get him started. Most of it has been de-primed. Probably 125 cases total.

That's awesome! Thank you very much. He said he's ordering it today. I will let you know. I am giving him a Simmons 3 x 9 for a starter scope. I mwill be making all of his reloaded ammo free of course.
