Though its amazing just how lethal .22LR can be. The person was shot with an air rifle.

We have a range that has a walking trail a mile behind it. I make damn sure my rounds are going into the berm when shooting there.

My trick is shoot very low into the berm and adjust as necessary, then shoot the intended targets.

I got a few .22 cal tuned PCP air rifles and it's amazing what they can do.

This past summer I had a decent sized chipmunk destroying one of my raised beds and I shot it with one of my .22 air rifles and it literally cut the bastard in half in one shot. I was using NSA 38gr bullets.

Air rifles can exceed low end pistol performance.

I have shot at many ranges...................I have many times had deer stroll across the range, stop, browse and slowly move on.....gunfire did not seem to dissuade them. Groundhogs, turkeys, rabbits too..........but nothing like deer.
Fayetteville, Dewitt, Camden, ranges.

Therefore, it was MURDER, clear and simple....................know your target.............shooter intended to teach those kids a lesson......35 years is about the correct sentence, private range or not........... fry his worthless, ignorant, sociopathic, toothless grin ass, in a BLM dominated prison..

I have been shooting at a range and had a 4wheeler pop into my view at the 150 yard line just after I squeezed the trigger on a 400 yard target. Scared the hell out of me. I reported it to the range officers. It was a range neighbor’s kid. They had the local sheriff talk to the neighbor about it.

It only takes a second for some idiot to ruin your day.

Tragic horrible story. Will be bad for the shooter who unintentionally will be responsible for this.

Holy hell that would mess me up, if a kid I knew crossed into my line of fire just as I was pressing send on a round (or pellet, or arrow, or whatever projectile). I can't even imagine the pain all the way around here... range user knew the family, probably first name basis with the kid, family losing a young child right at Christmas season.

RIP, young fellow, condolences to the grieving family, and my sincere best wishes to the range user ("shooter", while being technically accurate, seems to imply deliberation in what was really a very very unfortunate accident).
