Hello All!

Looking to buy SIG 9mm JHP 115-125 gr. in bulk 200-600 rounds! Anyone know where I can get it cheap? The lowest I could find it like .40 cents a round online but I've seen it cheaper than that (out of stock) and it must be cheaper when bought in bulk, right? The .40 cents is by 20 round boxes, anyone know where I can get bigger boxes to begin with?

Or perhaps an equivalent JHP from another company with the same quality?

If you found Sig Elite V-Crown JHP at 40 cents a round ... buy it. That is well below wholesale to a preferred dealer. It may even be below Sig's cost. The going rate retail is 60 to 65 cents per round with free shipping online for 200 round cases.

You may want to look at the Federal HST Law Enforcement Tactical 124g JHP with the rebates that are in place now.

Keep an eye on the Cabela's and Bass Pro flyers. They have run it a lot lately. If you like the SIG V-Crown, you might also like the Hornady XTP products. I've had great luck with both.

Both appear to be good quality, I have shot both, and you tube has tests that show better performance with the HST. (The tester concluded that Sig V-Crown essentially acts like an FMJ after penetrating denim, the HST was their top choice.)

Thanks so much! I'm going to look out for the Hornadys as well. But they dont seem to be cheaper, they are around .70 cents even in bulk...

I've seen some sales from gold dot and remington but i'm afraid the self defense rounds may not be as high quality as SIG... Dont want to take chances with self defense carry rounds...

There are other variables to consider rather than market hype and cost when selecting a 9mm defensive handgun round. Barrel length, gun weight, potential barriers, follow up shots, sufficient penetration, reliability from failures to feed / fire/ eject in yor gun, over penetration, accuracy in your gun with you shooting at various defensive distances all come in to play. In some circumstances you may want to consider some more expensive fluted rounds such as Underwood or Lehigh xtreme Defender / xtreme Penetrator, or ATX bullets in NOVX, Ruger or Polycase. These are all closer to a dollar a round than your 40 cent choice but we are talking about a defensive round vs range plinking.

Depending on the gun, caliber, and circumstances for defensive rounds I use Federal HST, Hornady or Perfecta with XTPs, NOVX, Poly Case, or Ruger with ATXs, Underwood or Lehigh with XDs, Underwood or Lehigh with XPs or Liberty Civil Defense.
