Is that a Highly polished Stainless Colt O-Frame?
I bought one three years ago and still haven't shot it...'course there's three other 1911's in the Safe that haven't had a round chambered.
It is not. It is a highly polished Springfield Armory. I used Mothers metal polish on it.
I use Mother's Mag Wheel Polish too, sometime Flitz or Semichrome...There is an artform to proper polishing, but you've got to hack a lot before you become an artist...would have loved to watch the old men at Colt that put mirror polishes on before they hit the Bluing Tanks and shined them afterwards.
Not for me but to each his own.

On a side note, I have a naked lower. Living in a normal state, I wonder if I should do a 14.5 with welded flash, or build a 12.5 or 10.5 pistol.

Going 12.5 on my next one. From what I remember, it's only about 50fps difference than 14.5.

The new .400 Legend is interesting driving a 10mm Bullet twice the speed of the 10mm handgun round...Faxon has pistol length barrels and 6.8 Bolts.
Far from hating the MSR platform, I've become disinterested in it, with Rifles I've only test fired if shot at all.
