“The truth is that automation has taken American jobs far more than any immigrant has taken American jobs,” Cuomo said. “Technology takes jobs, but then it creates more jobs than it destroys. Who gets them? People with an education get them.”

so automation/technology has taken jobs.....not immigrants, but the $15 minimum wage will eliminate a bunch of jobs......but then Technology will create more jobs than it......wait, what??? Holy crap. are you just shit stupid. How is that going to work? so when stores and restaurants start installing automated kiosk POS (point of sale) somehow, the one or two people that will be necessary to fix and control these machines will be more than 10-15 people your policy eliminated? wow, genius

As a second point in his speech, Cuomo said he would continue to advance progressive policies and that “middle-class success is not the enemy of our progressive beliefs.” He quickly mentioned a series of such measures, many of which he has voiced support for in the past, including expanding tuition subsidies to undocumented immigrants (the Dream Act), protecting abortion rights, raising the age of criminal responsibility, making it easier to vote and funding the cost of indigent legal services — including for immigrants. Cuomo last month vetoed a bill on that subject, citing its high cost.

uuum actually, progressive beliefs do hurt the middle class. at no time in history has a socialist platform ever benefited the citizens. it has only taken for the middle class and redistributed it to "less fortunate" that NOT a recipe for success.

to wit: expanding tuition subsidies for UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS? who's paying for that? Private funding??? why do UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS get a better option than citizens? and giving women the freedom to be irresponsible and make it easier and cheaper to kill their babies....good one? and making it easier to vote, we all know that means, anyone can vote whether they are citizens or not.

I think King Cuomo needs to see a shrink, maybe get on drug therapy regime. Or maybe just get a frontal lobotomy
