My American friends, you are surely aware that you don’t have to own a gun to fight like hell to retain your right to bear arms, as well as the freedom to play anything you damn well please on your karaoke machines. Preserve those rights, defend them, they are more precious than you know. Never sell them. Never soften.
An absolutely critical takeaway quote:
"Governments which no longer guarantee the security of their citizens are worthless, and those that disallow the right to defend oneself are worse than negligent, they are clearly dangerous to support in any way."
hi,
link doesn't work for me.
Yup - linky no longer worky. Go directly to The Burning Platform
It's currently the second article.
or this re-link:
Queen and Country, God and Guns
UK's May will not resign after losing majority, will seek permission from Queen to form government
A good benevolent monarch beats a raging left wing democracy any time, and twice on election day.So, it turns out now the votes are in that the conservatives have indeed lost a lot of seats and lost the majority. I am not familiar with UK politics all that much, but they are a country still going left. Also, look at the heading of this article:

I know it may be a bit of a formality, but how the F in the year 2017 do people who fancy themselves as free and self-directed still defer to a monarchy for anything? I find the concept really abhorrent. This queen has power granted through nothing whatsoever except her bloodline, and they still grant power to the throne as if it's the middle ages. Even Canada still yields in some capacities to the throne of England if you can believe it (it's true and insane).

I disagree because a monarchy grants power to people who have not earned it. It is at its very essence stealing power of the people for self-governance. Of course, sometimes people vote themselves dumb leaders and sometimes kings are great, but as a general rule I would prefer to see applied worldwide, nobody should be given power due to their birth and legally formalized as such.A good benevolent monarch beats a raging left wing democracy any time, and twice on election day.
Freedom is about what rights are respected, not how the government is constituted. While it's true that an absolute monarchy is very fragile and can easily slip into despotism, not all monarchies are absolute. Most now are constitutional monarchies where the power of the monarch is constrained in the same way the power of the mob is (theoretically) under our democracy.
It's about the limits on government power, not how the government employees are chosen.
The guy on the left was one of those over there. Conversations about his experiences were very sparse. I do remember him telling me that the English people thought that all American servicemen were Alcoholics, had lots of money and were over sexed. They lived for the day ( or the evening as it may be ).Great blog......
Best line:
"During World War II you were overpaid, oversexed and over here, breaker of hearts and hymens."
The only way to guarantee your own safety is to do it yourself.
When you stand a good chance of dying tomorrow, who wouldn't live for the day ?The guy on the left was one of those over there. Conversations about his experiences were very sparse.
