Probation officers are peace officers under N.Y. law. They are a type of cop.These were not cops that made this charge, it was probation officers.
Are you prepared to additionally assume that he specifically agreed to possess magazines of no more than 10 rounds as part of his plea deal?These people are in violation of rules and an understanding that they agreed to.
