If Trump wins in November, I think Vance will be situated pretty well for 2028.

I agree under the assumption that if Vance does anything to make himself look better than the Donald..Trump will torpedoe him as it would be a huge blow to the Dons ego. For the “parties” well being..Trump should be grooming Vance for 28. He should if He truly believes in “America Great”

You're not wrong, but it's hard for a VP to overshadow a POTUS. And I imagine anything Vance does well, Trump will take credit for choosing a good VP.
